BP4 Review of Scribblar.com

I have been looking through Web 2.0 tools for a tool that will allow me to hold an interactive
classroom online. I came across Scribblar.com which gives me and my participants a real-time multi-user whiteboard. This gives me an opportunity to share information, while also having input and discussion with participants via a text chat box, as well as live audio.  One great feature is that there are no user or session limits.  This is a great tool for online trainings, teaching, discussions, and brainstorming with others. This allows a platform for collaboration with others from a distance. And the basic Scribblar program is free of charge.

Scribblar offers online tutorial videos:

There are actually a series of videos that walk you through all of the steps of working within this environment.

I wrote up a few lines on Scribblar and used the text chat, though, of course, being that it is just me and not a group of people working in Scribblar right now, my name came up as the person speaking in the text box. It will add a lot that participants can also speak via audio. I also played with various tools to begin to get familiar with this program.

Here is a screen shot of one of my practice sessions/creations in Scribblar:

You may also use different shapes and numerical equations as needed.

An exciting feature of Scribblar is that it also offers an upgraded version of this tool which sounds incredible. It allows you to integrate Scribblar right into your website, so that participants come into your 'classroom' where your own logo, look, feel and color scheme are integrated.  You easily get to operate your own integrated online classroom into the theme of your existing website. For me this will be ideal for working with clients and customers online for teaching, as well as for meeting and collaborative efforts, brainstorming, etc.

This is the perfect tool for me to utilize in my environment.
